Grace & Ted’s Wedding at Laurel Ridge Country Club

Grace and Ted’s November 13, 2022 wedding at Laurel Ridge Country Club paired an outdoor ceremony with cocktails and the reception in the pavilion. Their timeline gave them a window for sunset portraits while guests headed inside to hear the band.

Laurel Ridge sits in Waynesville’s mountain setting and offers a lodge, a rustic pavilion, an arbor, and private dining spaces. For Grace and Ted, keeping cocktails and the reception together meant guests could settle into the pavilion after the ceremony.

Plan how you’ll return from portraits

Their plan called for a 4:30 ceremony, 5 p.m. cocktail music, and a 6 p.m. introduction and first dance. Dinner followed at 6:15. If you want sunset photographs, arrange coverage for the guests while you are away, then decide how you will rejoin them.

Later, the schedule put toasts and cake before a father-daughter dance. After about a minute, the band was to invite everyone onto the floor. If you’d like guests to join a family dance, agree on that invitation and its timing with the band.

Work backward from the exit

Their sparkler exit was planned for 9:45. For your own wedding, allow time for the last song, the announcement, and everyone walking outside. Tell the band who will confirm that the send-off is ready.

Send us your wedding date for Laurel Ridge and rough timeline. We’ll check availability and help fit the music around portraits, dinner, and dancing.
