Emily and Brady’s wedding at Timber Hall in Leicester, North Carolina, moved from a ceremony to patio cocktails, dinner in the hall and an evening with Soulution. The ceremony, patio, and hall gave the day several distinct spaces.
How they planned the evening
Their timeline set the ceremony for 5 p.m., followed by cocktails on the patio at 5:30. A friend provided ceremony guitar, and the couple planned their own cocktail playlist. Dining stations in the hall came next at 6:15.
At 7, the plan moved to their first dance, Susan Tedeschi’s “Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever,” and the start of Soulution’s set. They planned dinner first, then the first dance and band set.
Plan the moves between spaces
Timber Hall sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Leicester. If you are using both the patio and hall, walk the route with your planner and decide how guests will know when to move. Confirm who controls recorded music in each space, and have the agreed tracks ready before the wedding day.
The venue’s planning information notes that overnight accommodation is off site. Work out where guests will stay and whether you need transportation, then put the departure time on the same schedule as the last song.
Share both the outdoor plan and weather backup with your musicians. Send us your wedding date for Timber Hall and the spaces you’re using. We’ll check availability and talk through the live and recorded music.
