We visited The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset for a Mardi Gras party, with themed food, decorations, and live music. It was a community celebration by the lake, separate from the weddings we play in the area.
The property is now known as Old Edwards Reserve at Lake Keowee, a private waterfront community with a marina, dining spaces, and an ongoing calendar of member activities.
Tell us how you want the theme to affect the music
A theme can give a party a starting point without deciding every song. For a wedding welcome party or reception, send your band a few examples that capture what you have in mind. Explain whether you want the theme heard during arrivals and dinner, throughout the dancing, or in one particular moment.
Leave room for your guests’ favorites, too. A few examples help us understand your idea and leave room to read the crowd.
Make arrival instructions clear
When an event is inside a private community, confirm the correct entrance and guest-access arrangements with the host. Send vendors their load-in instructions separately from the guest invitation, including where to unload and who to contact on arrival.
For an event at Lake Keowee, send us your date, location, and occasion. If there’s a theme, include a few songs that fit what you have in mind.
