Jack & Julie’s Wedding at Half-Mile Farm in Highlands

Jack and Julie brought us to Half-Mile Farm in Highlands for their May 20, 2023 wedding. The country inn sits on 14 acres, with a farmhouse, gardens, patios, and a lawn overlooking Apple Lake.

If you’re using several areas at Half-Mile Farm, put each location on the schedule so your vendors know where guests will be.

Save your favorite songs for when you’re in the room

Before adding another activity to cocktail hour, mark some time you want to spend with your guests. Tell your photographer which portraits matter most, then ask your planner how those photographs fit with the meal and music. If you will be away from the reception for a while, let the band know when to expect you back.

Choose a few songs you especially want to dance to and ask us to save them for when you are in the room. You do not need to write a set list for the whole evening. Knowing your priorities helps us make room for the moments you care about.

Walk through each music location

At a property with several outdoor gathering areas, confirm the ceremony, cocktails, and reception locations before deciding on musicians. Discuss the weather backup and where power and sound are needed with the venue team. Include any move between spaces in the schedule.

Send us your wedding date for Half-Mile Farm and the ceremony and reception locations. We’ll check availability and talk through the music.
