Emily & Rashad’s Wedding at The Grand Holland in Simpsonville, SC

Emily and Rashad’s wedding at The Grand Holland brought together everything we love about a celebration: a beautiful setting, a thoughtful flow, and guests ready to dance. From the ceremony in the main house to dinner in the pavilion and a lively reception back inside, each part of the day had its own atmosphere.

For Soulution, playing a wedding like this means thinking about the whole experience. The music and sound need to follow the celebration as it moves, helping each moment feel connected without asking guests to think about the logistics.

A ceremony in the main house

The main house made a memorable setting for Emily and Rashad’s vows. Its sweeping staircase, chandeliers, and bright interior framed an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends. The photographs capture both the room’s character and the emotion of the couple walking back down the aisle together.

Grand Holland also has an on-site piano, which offers a lovely possibility for couples considering live ceremony music. If that is part of your vision, we can talk through the instrument, song choices, and setup with you and the venue as the plans take shape.

Courtyard cocktails and pavilion dinner

After the ceremony, guests moved to the courtyard for cocktail hour before gathering in the pavilion for dinner. White draping, chandeliers, greenery, and carefully set tables gave the pavilion a welcoming feel, while the grounds offered beautiful places for Emily and Rashad’s portraits.

With the day spread across several spaces, we used multiple sound systems to support the flow. Planning those setups in advance helps keep the transitions comfortable, with the right sound available where guests are gathering. It also gives each part of the celebration room to feel different, from conversation over cocktails to the energy of the evening.

Back to the house, onto the dance floor

The reception returned to the main house, where the celebration shifted into live music and dancing. The photographs tell the story: a first dance, musicians in the middle of the action, and guests joining the party beneath the chandeliers.

Soulution’s repertoire moves from Motown and soul favorites to pop, funk, R&B, and songs that bring different generations together. We work with each couple’s preferences and respond to the room throughout the night, building an evening that feels personal and keeps the dance floor moving.
