Music before the reception

Music for your ceremony and cocktail hour

Tell us the songs you want for your ceremony and the music you’d enjoy during cocktails. We’ll discuss live and recorded options, the spaces you’re using, and how the timing works.

An acoustic performance example. Your proposal confirms the ceremony musicians, instruments, and format.

Choose the sound for your ceremony

List the ceremony moments that need music: guest arrival, the wedding party’s entrance, your entrance, and the walk back up the aisle. Send any song and version you have in mind. We’ll discuss live or recorded music and the timing.

Recorded music

Ceremony PA and playback let you use the recordings you choose. Tell us if a particular introduction, lyric, or ending matters. Confirm each cue and who will signal the entrances.

Live musicians

You can also choose live ceremony musicians, including a duo. Your proposal confirms the musicians, instruments, and arrangement. Explore the acoustic-duo guide and tell us which sound interests you.

Confirm ceremony coverage separately

Ceremony coverage sits outside the five-hour cocktail-hour and reception booking. It can be added or included in a higher package. Your quote confirms the timing and sound setup.

Send the ceremony and reception locations, guest estimate, and any microphone needs. Include the backup space for an outdoor ceremony. The live-band venue checklist helps you work through each location.

Choose music for cocktail hour

Recorded cocktail-hour music is included when it uses the main reception setup. A separate room, terrace, or garden may need more equipment and time. Separate-location coverage is quoted as an add-on.

If you’d like live cocktail musicians, tell us whether you want quiet music for conversation or a more prominent performance. We’ll discuss the format and confirm coverage in your proposal.

Send a simple outline of your day

You can ask about availability before the timeline is finished. Start with:

  • Your wedding date, venue, and guest estimate.
  • The ceremony, cocktail-hour, and reception spaces.
  • The moments you want live or recorded music for.
  • Specific songs, versions, or venue access restrictions.

Hear Soulution perform and read couples’ experiences, then review the wedding music options. To get started, share your date and venue for a custom quote. We’ll confirm the coverage with you before you choose a format.

Common questions

Do we need to choose our ceremony songs before we inquire?

No. Send your date, venue, and the parts of the day you want covered. Favorite songs or a preference for live or recorded music help, but we can work through choices during planning.

Can we ask for a particular live ceremony arrangement?

Yes. Send the song and version. We’ll discuss whether it suits the proposed musicians and confirm the arrangement and format with you.

Does one venue always mean one sound setup?

No. Different rooms or outdoor spaces may need extra equipment. Recorded cocktail music is included from the main reception setup; a separate location needs an add-on. Ceremony coverage is planned separately.
