Elizabeth and James’s Huguenot Loft wedding had a guest the Clemson fans were quick to recognize: the Tiger mascot. A photo booth and light-up batons gave friends and family more ways to join in, alongside the live music from Soulution.
A first dance with a clear ending
Their final song choice for the first dance was Hozier’s “Like Real People Do.” In the planning conversation, they asked to keep it around a minute and a half to two minutes, and the band agreed to find a natural musical ending. They also added saxophone to the lineup.

Planning at Huguenot Loft
Huguenot Loft is part of Greenville’s textile-mill history, with exposed brick, wood floors, structural beams and large windows facing the river. Confirm the room name and load-in entrance with the venue so vendors have clear directions.
For a mascot appearance or another surprise, name one person to coordinate the arrival and cue the introduction. Decide when props will come out and who will distribute them. Those small jobs should belong to someone other than the couple once the reception begins.
