Our visit to Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park brought a big crowd out for live music in Highlands. It was a community concert, with room for people to settle in, listen, and join the music at their own pace.
The park is on Pine Street in downtown Highlands. Visit Highlands describes it as the lawn-seating setting for Saturdays on Pine, part of the town’s outdoor concert program.
Leave places to sit near the music
For an outdoor wedding, put some comfortable seats within sight of the dance floor. Guests can take a break and still be part of the evening. Check the paths to the bar, restrooms, and dance floor after dark.
Put the weather decision on the schedule before the event. Agree with your venue and planner on who makes the call, when it needs to happen, and where musicians will set up if the plan changes. Give the band enough time to prepare the alternate space before guests arrive.
Send us the date, location, and type of event you’re planning in Highlands. We’ll check availability and talk through the music and setup.
